I have a set of THESE on my machine, they are called ( FF 501 & FF 502 ) they are not easy to find and when I do, they ain't cheap, ( local hydraulic shop=$63 & 36 )I went to my local TSC today and I found a set that almost looked like them but after reading Dougsters post about his leaking fittings, I just left without them.
I need 3 more sets that matches mine

If you have Parker fittings, stay with them and bite the bullet on price. The tiny details keep some fittings from playing well with other brands. Look at the bevels. Different brands use different degrees. One might be 40 and the next brand 45 degrees. Needless to say, they will not always seat properly.

Look on line to see if you can save some money with The Parkers. I have about $100 worth of assorted fittings that I bought because they looked right and even snapped together right at TSC. Guess what, under pressure, things don't always go so right. That's when you try to make brand x model 222 mate with a Parker 500.

Most vendors will not take back a fitting that has obvious wrench marks on it and has seen fluid. You buy it, you keep it.

Anyone selling quality will have Parker fittings.

Ummmm, I don't sell Parker and my stuff is quality. Kind of like saying anyone selling quality tractors will have Mahindra.

I'll bet the q.d.'s from TSC were the cheaper kind that won't connect under pressure.

In my humble opinion, buying hydraulic stuff from TSC is like buying horse feed at a hydraulic shop. They know as much about hydraulics as I do about horse feed.

Those Parker #'s cross over to many different brands which work just as good. To tell you the truth, they have a pretty low pressure rating for a flat face coupler. I wouldn't use them. For the same pressure, you could buy an ag style for half the price.

Andy: Here is the real question for you. Do your fittings match the Parker 501 & 502 and are guaranteed not to leak? If so, are they less than $99 per set. If you answer yes to both, then you are the answer for Mr Jimi.

I shouldn't have implied that you don't have quality stuff. The main point is that he is trying to buy parts that will work with Parker fittings. He is not starting a project from scratch.

I learned the hard way about different bevels, J-spec fittings, etc. I now go to the full service hydraulic shop, tell them what I want and $30-60 later I have a new hose with Parker fittings that match my JD quick connects. No one else seems to be able to do that.

The set of ( look alike connectors ) at TSC did not have the same locking feature that my Parker connectors do, I did not buy because I have read leaking connector problems from another TBN member and I trust him on his words and Andy and I have swapped PM's previously about this, thanks Andy.
I think I will stick with the expensive Parker connectors and hopefully not have any problems

Even though many times there is disagreement amongst us, you guys always seem to make my point for me. You go to TSC or some other discount house, and have problems. You go see a professional, and have no problems. Hmmm......

We have all heard the old saying
You buy cheap, you get cheap
I would rather buy a good one once than two el-cheapos twice

As with so many things, if you don't really know and understand what you are doing, it is usually better and cheaper in the long run to go to the professional. ;)
