I raised the rpm today at 2200 rpm the pressure gauge showed 2000 psi.
I don't know if you can read it in the picture.

133 psi would this make a difference?

You want to be very careful how you read your gage. When you get the gage installed, watch closely as you move the joystick. You might see that the pressure goes a little higher and then drops when the relief valve opens. Make sure you are measuring the exact point where the relief valve starts to crack open.

I do think that you can feel 133 psi in very critical applications, but consider that if your total lift is 1400 lb with 2133 psi, that's only 87.5 lb additional lift. I'm not sure I could feel that much difference.

Hmm.. I'd want pressure to be more uniform.. even though flow will be lower at lower rpm.. etc. GIJOE Your system doesn't use a vane pump does it?

Soundguy,

I'm surprised I didn't catch that when I proof read my post. I was thinking of Johnnylight's reading 1800 psi at idle when I was typing. After bringing that to my attention, I knew that was low, so I just checked mine again. At idle (hydraulic fluid cold) it read about 2050 psi and at a higher rpm it was a tad over 2200 psi. I have no idea if it is a vane pump or not.
Sorry for the error.

Joe

When i see a low pressure at low rpm problem.. it just makes me think of a shot vane pump.. that's why i asked.. etc..
