Hydraulic Loader Valve Question

I am in the process of designing a homemade FEL for my MF1528. To simplify connecting to existing hydraulics of tractor I plan on ordering the piping outlet option AGCO part # 6243908M92 from MF. My question is that there appears to be three lines coming off this block. AGCO parts diagram for the 1520 loader shows three hoses hooking to valve. Most valve schematics show a inlet and a outlet. What is the purpose of the third hose?

I am making some assumptions here, but I would say that the block diverts the hydraulic fluid from your 3pt hitch valve and sends it to to the loader valve. You will need a loader valve that has Power Beyond plug installed. This will give you three ports on your new valve.

Step 1. Take the power from the block to the in or power port of the new valve.

Step 2. Take the out or tank port of your new valve to the block port marked tank.

Step 3. Take the Power Beyond port from your new valve to the power beyond port on the block. This is what will make you 3pt hitch work again.

Most directional control valves can not handle the back pressure on the tank port that is created by a downstream valve. That is why you need power beyond.

Thanks for the quick reply. Your info makes sense so it is good to know that I need the power beyond valve. Can I assume that the block will be marked identifying what each pipe is for? Again thanks a lot for the info!

Usually there is identifying marks on the block. However, I am not familiar with your tractor so I can't say. If you have a parts breakdown for the hydraulic piping your should be able to figure out what goes where.
