Hydraulic lift on 3-point working off and on.

I'm rather new to tractors and hydraulics systems and current I have sporadic problem with my 3-point not lifting (hoping someone can point me in the right direction).

The problem has been off and on for several months (no pattern). My tractor is a Yanmar F165. The 3-point hydraulics are controled with a electronic switch and the "drop" works but the "raise" does not. All other hydraulics seem to be working fine (3-pt tilt and front bucket). hydraulic fluid is at the proper level and looks clean. I replaced the switch some time ago, but did nothing. Next step, I will chase the electrical wires to probably a hydrulic control/switch? and go from there. If anyone has had similar problems and know what the problem is or might be, that would cut my search time down considerably. Any advice would be helpful.

Do chase the wire and check it, When you get to the Hyl. valve run a volt test there. It's the wire or the valve Sol. Sounds more like a bad wire that is shorting out now and then.

Thanks for the info. I finally got around to check the tractor and the 3-point is working again...go figure. I went ahead and check the wiring from the switch to the hydraulics (just visual for now). I did notice the ground wire from the switch was nicked and had exposed copper (did not look like it lost any braided wires). I went ahead and weather insulated this section. In addition, I noticed where the ground went to - a bolt holding the seat down. This is a "gray model" Yanmar, so it looks like some changes had occurred before export and this connection does not look factory. It also had paint between the ground connection, but the bolt itself probably had some contact through the rusty threads. I moved this connection to a clean connection (paint removed) on the hydraulic case. So far no problems, but time will tell.
