One cold days, my hydraulic level is "frozen." I am using the front-attached snow blower in the winter and it only uses the up/down hydraulic set. I can immediately raise the blower (pull lever) and I can move the level left. But, it will not push (drop the blower) or move right. After I leave it running for a while, it obviously warms up and gets unstuck. After that all operates normally. Never any problems in the summer (when using the FEL). I assume it is the lever mechanism. What should I look for? Or clean out? Or whatever? The 10 minute wait with everything running and the hydraulic fluid circulating is quite frustrating when I'm standing in 12+ or more inches of snow. (Note: The mid-PTO, which drives the snow blower, is OK immediately. It just seems to be push/right on the hydraulic level.)

As long as your not having a water contamination problem and the water is freezing there are two thing's you can do. One is to just let the tractor warm up. Start it up and walk back inside for a second cup of coffee or hot choclate. :) The second thing you could do if your in a very cold enviroment is switch to a winter viscosity oil. The winter UTF will have better cold flow properties then the standard fill UTF.

Sounds like you have condensation in the loader valve mechanism. Our dealer told me how to drill drain holes for the condensation to be able to escape. Here's a picture of the holes I drilled.
