Greetings all.
I've been tinkering around with this Ford 600 series most of the winter. When I bought it, the hydraulic front loader worked pretty well. but then sporadically, it would not raise at times and then all of the sudden work just fine. I completely drained and replace the fluid with Rural King brand universal high pressure fluid, and thought that solved the issue, as I had no problems for a couple months after the fluid change. Now it's back to it's same old sporadic behavior. The rear lift (3pt hitch) works every time. Part of me is thinking seals, but why would it raise, and hold all night long, and then the next day nothing, for say an hour or so. I shut it off, then I start it back up, hit the lift lever, it works fine... for a while. Also I should say I'm still learning the mechanics of tractors in general (engines and hydraulics). Should I have somehow bled the hydraulic lines like brake lines? If so, is that a 2 person job? Any help appreciated mucho!
