Hydraulic hose crimper dies needed

My suggestion is to find a TISCO dealer. They can get anything Weatherhead you might want at pretty reasonable prices.

Looking up Coll-O-Crimp T-400 on Google, I get a lot of hits, although quite possibly rather expensive dies.

Is the Coll-o-crimp made by weatherhead? I used the following search criteria on E-Bay and came up with quite a few dies.

hydraulic hose (dies,collets,die,collet) weatherhead
or simply.
(dies,collets,die,collet) weatherhead
You also get several hits with
(dies,collets,die,collet) (t400,t-400)


Of course you will have to verify models and applications.

It is quite possible that if you changed all the rings, you could also use different brands or models of dies in your crimper/press.

Everything I read indicates that it is always best to verify proper compression by measuring the crimped fittings.

Yes, it looks as though I might have to go with a conversion if I can't find the correct dies. I was hoping someone would have the OEM dies but it doesn't look promising. Goodyear only sold about 500 of these crimpers and it could be hard to find them. I called a few Tisco dealers and they won't be in until Monday but I will check with them also. T-400 dies are going to run at least $200 each unless you find them on ebay or some other non-retail source.

Most NAPA stores are weatherhead distributors. They might be able to hook you up with the right people. Might be worth a call. If you had a Parker machine, I could help you with that.

I don't have any part numbers just going by recognition and a picture I found on the web that agrees with the catalog number and model on the crimper. It is definitley the Goodyear 99060. I have a set of 1/2" dies but I need 3/8" and 3/4". NAPA didn't have much but I am using Weatherhead fittings. Can't seem to find much on ebay or Craigs. Thanks guys for the replies.

Thought I should let the ones that answered my post that I did find the OEM dies needed for my crimper. I took a chance on calling someone advertising other dies and he ended up having three complete sets to fit my crimper. Thats the good part of the WWW! Thanks guys.
