Does anyone see a reason why I shouldn't use Case Hy-Tran Ultra when I do service on my B2400? I was just given a virgin 5-gallon jug of it and would rather use it than go buy more. I believe it is a very good substitute, but would like advice.
I would contact Case and get their opinion first. I'd also be reluctant to put it in. You might be saving a few dollars now but if it doesn't work you won't know until you actually have a problem later. Just my thoughts.
the advantage of it being free is temporary, the possibility of transmission/hydraulic issues could be a lot more long lived and expensive. When it comes to fluid change & filters, guess I err to the cautious and go Kubota stock. Engine & axle oils are another story. You might post your question on the Oils/Fuels/Lubricants forum. good luck bb

We're also a Case dealer and buy Hytran by the tanker, yet we still use SUDT in every tractor we service because its what Kubota had in mind when they designed the tractor. Just depends on what your perspective is.
