My 2010 Farmall 45 manual states it takes 9.6 gallons of Hytrans Ultra. I followed the manual for my first hydraulic fluid change this weekend. I pulled both drain plugs, let it drain, replaced the HST filter, and replaced the hydraulic filter. Upon refill it was full at 7 gallons. I did start the change with the loader at full height. When I lowered it I was able to push out more fluid via the drain holes. I'm assuming, though, that there is still 2.5 gallons stuck in the hydraulic lines somewhere. Should I be worried about leaving 2.6 gallons of old fluid in the tractor?
