Backhoe Hydraulic fittings on Jinma backhoe (jw03)

Can anyone tell me what type of fittings are on the backhoe? I need crimp fittings to make replacement hoses.Are there possibly JIC adapters available somewhere?

Just a guess, but they are probably metric. DHH has some fitting charts that may help you identify what you need.

The small hoses are M18x1.5 ORFS (O-ring Face Seal). Don't bother trying to find the hose-end fittings, they only exist in China.
You can get complete new OEM hose assemblies at Circle-G Tractor, Ranch-Hand Supply, and Keno Tractor, to name a few.

Yep, Bob is right. The hose ends to-from the cylinders are I believe 18X1.5MM ORFS. The valve body has what appear to be ORFS to straight thread metric adapters(O-ring at the base of the threads on the valve body side). There appears to be two types of these used depending probably on location of manufacture, or perhaps the valve used.

Also Depending on your model, there appears to be 2 types of metric flange adapters bolted on the pump inlet and outlet. One looks to be 18 X 1.5MM ORFS and the other looks to be 26 or 27MM X 2.0MM ORFS with another O-ring between flange and pump body. This again appears to be most likley dependant on the factory where it was produced. Here is a link to circle G tractors parts section with pics of these 4 fittings I have just described.

As for adapters, I have searched high and low for something to easilly adapt a gauge installation between pump and valve with no luck. They just aren't available here. I will be machining a gauge block to bolt between the pump outlet and the stock flange fitting to add a gauge.

If you need a hose, I think the simplest thing will be to source a stock replacement hose.

You can also just drill and tap the end plate on the valve body. Be sure to install a high psig rated neele valve and/or snubber.

Thanks for the link Bob, I didn't come across them in my searching. I thought about drilling the input valve block or making up a metric adapter that screws down into the check valve plug on the top of the input block, but the impact of failure could be difficult to resolve(procure just a new input block vis a whole valve if I screw it up)

I had two hoses blow apart because the hose wasn't installed fully on the hose barb on my Jinma Hoe. I ended up welding a JIC male fitting to the old hose barb fitting and converting to easy to find JIC.
TSC sells ready made JIC hoses in different lengths in stock.

What process did you use to weld it? Mig?

I used Oxygen/Accetylene torch. TIG would also be good. It would be hard to get a good MIG weld on something that small and thin. It would surely leak or be so dobbed up with weld on weld.
Brazing is also an option, a lot of hydraulic fittings are brazed together, but I prefer O/A welding.

Thanks for all the response.I think my best bet will be to build adapter as ronmar suggested.
I find all the hoses on the backhoe to be too long for easy routing.It has caused problems with crushing and bending.
