I recently hit the hydraulic filter on my CK30 while moving tree limbs and separated it the filter housing from the line coming into the rear of the housing. I was able to loosen the bracket holding the filter and reposition the filter back on the line and get the tractor hydraulics going with no noticeable leaks. The problem is now there seems to be air in the system especially when the backhoe is in use. I have checked the fluid level and cycled the hydraulics numerous times to bleed them. Is it possible that the unit is sucking air from the filter housing. Also are the lines going into the filter housing just sealed with an O ring. They seem to be tight but cant say for sure. Any help would be appreciated. My closest dealer is 80 miles away.

Look in your tank to verify the air bubbles.

The hyd system will self bleed as you operate the hyd system after fixing the air leak.

Look up that filter number on the net and see if there is a distributor closer.

Is it possible that there's a crack or pin hole in the filter, line or housing that got hit, which is letting air in due to suction in the line?
Maybe small enough that air can get in due to operating suction, but hyd fluid can't seep out when the system's off.

Thanks for the info. I pulled the filter and repositioned the filter housing and retightened the mounting hardware. This seems to have fixed it for now.
