Buying Advice hydraulic filter for 255fx

Hi All
Need to find a hydraulic filter for my fx255. Could someone advise if there is a Napa filter that would be suitable? I was hoping to find one locally if possible. I have the Napa 1064 for the engine.

Hoye do a correct aftermarket replacement for this filter. It is important to use a filter with the correct mesh size otherwise the pump can be starved of oil and cavitate. If you search Hoye for parts for the FX255 you will find "spin on hydraulic filter".

Thanks, I found that one earlier. I was hoping to find something locally that I could pick up. Perhaps there is a JD that will fit????

Thanks Winston, that is what I was looking for. I am getting ready to leave for my property and wanted to service the 255 while Iam there. You wouldn't happen to know if there is an aftermarket air cleaner?

Hi all
Did a bit of research and cross referencing.
Thought I would post up the results for other members with a 255fx. I have not verified fitment or use yet, but will update in a few weeks.

The Wix site brought up the following listing for the fx255 engine oil filter:
Wix - 51568
Napa - 1568

tractorErnie reccomended this engine oil filter:
Wix - 51064
Napa - 1064

The 1568 is a larger filter with a higher flow rate.

Transmission fluid filter:
Wix - 51203
Napa - 1203

Air filter:
Wix - 46270
Napa - 6270

Fuel filter:
Wix - 33262 or 33263 or33507
Napa - 3262 or 3263 or 3507



Engine oil - Delo 400 14-40
Transmission fluid - Mercon-Dextron
Power steering fluid - Mercon-Dextron
Front axle 90w gear oil.

Interesting, your fx255 uses the same filters as my ym2002d.

Lots of Yanmars share oil filters. My 1500 uses the same filter as our 2011 Gensets with 3TNV-88s in them. And i'm sure there are many others that will too :thumbsup:

I just changed a genuine Yanmar oil filter to a Napa 1568, and it was a lot bigger, but still fit even around the sheet metal.
