I just purchased a DK45SE. I also currently have a CK30 gear TLB and it is my 2nd CK30 since 2005. I put a lot of hours on my tractors and was surprised to learn that the maintenance intervals on the DK45SE call for changing the HST and transmission filter every 200 hours with the fluid at every 400 hours. This is my first tractor with an HST transmission and with the price of the filters at over $100 for each change this could get expensive, I know on the gear tractors you only change the hyd filter at 400 hour. Does anyone else think that these intervals may be excessive

You might get away with the hydraulic filter every 400 but the hydro trans filter probably should be every 200. You want to keep full flow to the hydro. I haven't cut mine open to see how dirty they are at 200. Most members question whether the fluid is really needed at 400 because it looks as good draining out as it went in but I haven't sent this used oil in for analysis for other properties beyond visual. Maybe try this place for filters that another member posted. Prices seem to be better at least for mine on a CK30hst. T2185-38031 HYDRAULIC FILTER, CK25-CK35H, LK30 - S & H Farm Supply This was the page for mine. Just search the site for your filters because I believe they're different.

Thanks for the info. I probably will just bite the bullet and follow the manufacturers intervals
