I'm looking to hook a dump cart up to my BX25 (with backhoe off, obviously), and want to get a sanity check on what I plan to do. I also have a question about size and type of hoses.
First, here's what I've already got:
Lion 40WH24-175 cylinder (at bottom of this page). The specs say it has 3/4-16 ORB ports, which I believe is the same as SAE #8. This is already attached to the cart, which was manufactured with cylinder mounts.
Prince RD516CA5A4B1 valve (upper left on this page). The inlet, outlet, and power beyond ports are SAE #12. The work ports are SAE #10. This will be attached to the tongue of the cart.
The short hose on the back of the BX25 is the outlet, and should go to the valve's inlet. So that's a 1/4" coupler to a 90-deg SAE #12 male connector for that hose.
The nipple without a hose is the return, which goes to the valve's outlet. Another 1/4" coupler to 90-deg SAE #12 hose.
The 1/4" coupler on the right side is for power beyond. That means a 1/4" nipple to 90-deg SAE #12 hose for that.
To connect the valve to the cylinder, I need two 90-deg SAE #10 to 90-deg SAE #8 hoses.
What I don't know is what size and type of hoses to get. I'd like to think the person making the hoses at the local Tractor Supply will know the answer, but I'd prefer to know before going there.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
