I have search several places and still have not found an answer, can someone here help? I have a Massey Ferguson 232 loader bucket lift cylinder I am trying to rebuild. it does not have the wire clip that holds the ram in checked that off the list already. I have removed the outer ring that screws on, my question is does the threaded part in the cylinder need to be pushed back into the cylinder to removed a clip that holds it in? It also has no set screws. I have the cylinders off the tractor and have the threaded part soaked with penetrating fluid. my book shows no clip but something is there holding the ram tight. would appreciate any help.
