Plan is for BX2360 to get cab for winter. We have BX2750B snowblower with crank rotate chute. I know a search will find results and some of them are older so I'm posting now for current info...I looked at BX2750D yesterday with OEM hydraulic rotator. It was complete setup but rather beat, lots of stuff bent up so I passed at $1900.

I believe I've determined the OEM kit/option is/was BX2754 and BX2754A. Would be cheaper to buy complete as kit versus piece by piece as service parts.

Would consider buying the complete snowblower but not too many around close.

That leaves retrofit. Looking for kit info, experiences, successes and failures for aftermarket and OEM kits.

"Kits" are typically sold through wholegoods (Sales department). Typically they come complete with everything needed for the install including the instructions, but I have not purchased this kit in the past.

Sometimes the kit number can be found in the illustrated parts drawings at kubota.com, but not always.

I've never seen a case where the individual parts from Kubota were cheaper than the wholegoods kit. (This assumes you stay within Kubota. Sometimes an equivalent part can be found elsewhere).

Also make certain you FEL controller will work with chute rotation.

Good luck and let us know what you do.

I didnt use a kit, just modified the hand crank and used a hydraulic motor to drive the assembly. Works fine, only problem is the potential to over run the steel cable chute operator past the end limit and breaking the cable.

I used the oem chute rotation set up. Easy to install and bullet proof. The power comes from the ensued FEL hook ups for curl and dump. Not sure if your BX has a regen circuit on the dump. I installed it for a b3350 hsd that I recently sold and that had a regen on the dump. I have a bx2380,now and does not have a dump regen.
Maybe the sales guys could help you out

7-8 years now on my DIY rotator.

I mounted a 2000 lb ATV type winch vertically, drilled a hole center of the drum, wound 5/6 turns of wire rope on the drum and then one turn around the chute.
A simple DPDT spring loaded center off switch completed the installation.
As said, has been flawless for years except that this year I replaced the wire rope as it was fraying.
At one ton of power I actually can break lose the occasionally frozen chute as well.
To make it easier I do lube the chute guide ring occasionally.

Oh, while I lucked out with a 'garage find' winch, new ones are very affordable in the $100. range or less.
I did use a short leftover length of 3 inch PVC pipe and end cap to create a water proof shield to protect my winch motor.

Rotation is just at a nice speed.

Have you considered using a DC motor instead? Easy to mount and the electrical is easy to connect and you can place the switch anywhere you would like. I have one on my 60 inch Woodmaxx. I also think Woodmaxx sells the kit seperatly and it shouldnt be too had to modify for yours.

I called local Kubota dealer and they have the OEM kit in stock. It is pricey. I have little doubt or concern of operation. It is an OEM kit. I have a loader and thus a loader valve. Some customers will opt for loader valve even without the loader so as to run power angle plow or snowblower. I have seen many BX50 BX60 BX70 with the OEM hydraulic chute rotator. I have a hydraulic angle front plow now and that works fine with the loader valve. Certainly, if I have a problem, I can go back to Kubota. You are correct on kits as sold through sales.

The BX2360 has both dump and regen. The new BX80s have likewise hydraulic chute rotator kit, BX2818. I believe it is a forced option with the factory hard cab.

I purchased the BX2754A kit from Kubota, very expensive but extremely complete and rather comprehensive. I will offer the following notes based on my progress, should any opt to buy likewise. There are different kits based on whether you have a BX2750 variant, BX5450 or BX2816. I believe BX2750 exists as base, A B C and D based on vintage and subtle changes. The base version in each variant is with a hand crank with a wire worm and matching wheel. I have a BX2750B. The instructions suggest modifications required if not originally equipped. One was drilling the housing for hydraulic motor mounting bracket, mock up, match mark, drill, no big deal, done. Instructions suggest that hole may already exist as a slot. In my case, no, I expect it exists on BX2750C BX2750D.

Next, chute modifications for dedicated gear for hydraulic motor and gear, once again, instructions suggest four holes may or may not be present. In my case, BX2750B, no holes, likely pre-drilled on BX2750C and BX2750D. I believe not applicable on BX5450 and BX2816. It seems that on those models, RAD, Kubotas supplier, changed the wheel on the chute to be in fact standard with a finer tooth gear that matches what must be added on the BX2750 for the motor gear. On the BX5450 and BX2816, there is a finer wire worm that meshes in this gear, the gear that works for both manual and hydraulic rotation. Hence, change from any BX2750 variant to the BX5450 is not just a number change, it is a design change.

Instructions in my case suggest to slip new gear over chute and piggy back original manual rotation wheel, center new gear over original wheel and match drill four 1/4" holes. Then, using those four holes as pilots, drill 1/2" from underneath to depth just enough to recess flat head screws to just below flush. Here are the issues with that.

When I placed the gear over the wheel from the top, It could not be centered. The inner profile of the gear interfered with sheet metal of the shroud, either from lack of internal gear clearance or variance of location of shroud weldment relative to wheel. Ultimately, I placed gear on the bottom side of the wheel, centered, transfer punched holes, then drilled. When I finally do mount the gear topside, I will either have to relieve the inside of the gear on that corner, notch or dent the shroud to allow centering to catch the holes I drilled.

Next is the 1/2" drilling from beneath to sink the flat heads below flush. I'm not suggesting that this won't work but when you are drilling heavy gauge sheet metal and need to accommodate the angularity difference of the drill point and the profile of a flat head screw, there sure can't be much metal left if you sink it to below flush. I believe a standard drill point is perhaps 37 degrees and the angle of the flat head nearer to 90! I ended up purchasing and using a 1/2" countersink. IIRC, the angle is 82 degrees on the countersink and it's close to the angle of the flat head if not exactly the same.

Nice kit, but it's no cake walk!

In regard to the large gear interference with the chute...I repeatedly test fitted the gear over the chute and aligning the drilled holes while taking a blunt drift and reshaping the one bottom corner of the chute, success.
