Hydraulic bleed down

I have a little Farm Pro tractor that the 3-point hitch is bleeding down pretty fast on. Generally, would that be seals in the 3-point causing this or something in the diverter valve, or is there an easy answer to this question in general.

Could be either one?
How does your diverter work, does it switch between your loader and 3pt? Try switching it to the other hydraulics it powers and see if they leak down as fast with same load for starters. If so, then it might be your diverter. If not, it might be the 3pt seals or bypass valve spring (pressure relief setting) that has gotten weak.

Do you have an inspectionport into the 3pt area to see if the oil is leaking at the 3pt?

If not.. try using the valve to lock the 3pt in place ( i think some jinma have them ).. if you lock it in place.. and it leaks down. that would point to bad 3pt oring.

Odds are you will need to rebuild the lift cylinder inside the lift box.

I don't have a front end loader on the tractor. I haven't found any inspection point either. As far as locking the 3 point, if you keep the valve pulled up, it will keep the mower up fine, but when you put it into the neutral position, it won't hold it up. It will drop fairly rapidly, within a few seconds.

It will either be the internal cylinder or the valves for the three point. I would bet on the valves before the cylinder.

If this is a jinma.. then they usually have a screw in valve under the seat used to lock the flow from the 3pt cyl.. thus locking it up. This is an -EASY- way to test to see if your cyl is leaking.. or if it is leaking somewhere else.. say.. the spool.. etc..
