Seems to vary quite a bit by region. The local dealer (Johnstown, PA) has it for $10.75/gal, either Low-Vis or regular.

Ha! In York its $14.75/gal. So I bought it in 5 gallon jugs to get it at $10.50/gal.

Maybe York's is higher quality?? :D

Just checked with the local guy, it's only a few cents/gallon less if I buy 5 gallons. The wife's been grumbling about carrying those 5 gal containers, so I think I'll stick with the gallons. ;)

Prices really do seem to vary around the country - I remember a thread in here some time ago where a guy in Georgia (I think it was) was paying almost $10.00 a QUART, or something equally outrageous.

I would definately stick with the gallon jugs.. I got a 5 gal pail of Amsoil for my 2320 hydro change and had no fun what so ever pumping/pouring the stuff out of the 5 gal pail into something more manageable..

There must be a spout you can buy for the pails. I'm gonna look for one tomorrow hoping that I'm right. If I'm wrong, I'm still not going to pay $4/gallon more for jugs though. :)

Yep, there is. The J-D guy fixed me up with one when I got my 5 gallon buckets of Ow-40. It's got a little shut-off on it and everything. ;) You still need to put the buckets up on a stand or something to pour 'em out, tho... :( Now, if I can just remember where I put it.

I tried to pump mine out with various hand and bulb pumps - And as Dr Phil says "How did that work out for you?" and my answer would be "not too good".. I found a pail pump at TSC for about $30 but didnt really want to spend that much for a once in a while activity..

The shut off valve would be a good thing - five gallons isnt hard to handle if you are only putting it up on something, but holding it up to pour is for someone else..

good luck

Problem solved. I bought a 2.5 gallon bucket with an angled pour spout, poured about 1.5 gallons into it at a time from the 5 gallon bucket, and then poured that into a funnel connected to the tractor. Not a single spill. And my wife can use the bucket to wash the car.

Obviously I didn't find a spout around here. And the idiot lady at the JD parts counter said to me, "Not that I know of." Which always has the same followup, "Well maybe you should ask someone who might know?" But again, I don't deal with my lame dealer anymore than I have to so I didn't get that far..... :)

That's weird - I found my spout this AM. It has a J-D (I assume, it starts with an "M") part number. I THINK it was M15825. Or, maybe it was just that dealer's method of marking stuff? Price tag was still on it - $4.00.

You must have an unusual J-D parts person. There are three J-D dealers I've dealt with, within a 50 mile radius of here (Wineland in Martinsburg, Scheffel in Somerset and Johnstown) - EVERY parts guy at all of them are extremely knowledgeable/helpful. They've helped me find parts, many times with only the most minimal information.
