Hello,

I have a Husqvarna YTH 200 sit-on-top garden mower/tractor and have been trying to fit a new drive belt. I've got the new belt on correctly but cannot connect the cutting unit back up as the tension of the belt stops me being able to position it correctly. The drive unit does not have tensioners and only has non-adjustable front fixings and the fixings for raising and lowering the cutter (all four of which I've disconnected). To get the belt on I have lowered the cutting unit as far as it will go. There must be a correct procedure to easily connect the cutting unit back up after fitting the new belt. If anyone knows what it is or where I can find instructions I'd very much appreciate a reply.

Thanks very much.

OK. I figured it out. So for anyone else who ever finds this post the answer is to chock up the machine's front wheels. This effectively allows the cutting unit to fall further and makes it much easier to remake the front attachments. After that the back attachments can be remade by removing the chocs and chocking up the cutting unit instead.
