I replaced the deck belt on my riding mower (LGT 2654) about a week ago. When I mow it begins to shake a lot after about 10 minutes. I thought it needed to reset itself so I turned the mower off then back on continued to mow my lawn (thirty Min). Any ideas why it does that when it never did it before and how do I fix it? Any help would be appreciated.

Are the blade spindles in good shape?
The spindles appear to be good. They are securely connected and spun freely when I took the mower deck off to check them. I originally took the deck off because it would stall out when I turned the deck on and I thought one of them could be bad. I discovered that the issue wasn't the spindle but the seat safety switch. I put the deck back on and that's when the shaking started so I bought a new belt which led to this new condition.

The only time mine shakes is when i had spindle issues. The last time it happened, I found that the large spindle bolt was loose. All appeared good, but if i grabbed blade with belts off there was up and down movement. Another time i had 1 of the 3 attachment points broken. I now have 3 extra spindle towers as spares.

Also could have an idler pulley seizing when the bearing gets hot. May need to run it until things start shaking and then check everything by trying to turn things and making sure something isn't getting hot.

The new, and tighter, belt may have revealed your spindle issue (worn bearings or loose belt, etc)

my deck was doing this, turns out it was a pully on the belt between the deck and clutch on the engine. i replaces all the idler pullys and double drive bearings. so smooth now!
