Hello folks, I've been around the Kubota boards for a couple of years and have found an incredible amount of knowledge and insight from the memebers of TBN. Just sold my BX24 and all implements to make way for a new...bigger...tractor. I am really leaning toward the Mahindra 5035 and will be looking to the wealth of info on this board to help with the decision and proper set-up.

Welcome... if you need any help 'leaning' ... I have a 5035 HST and REALLY like it. Good luck in your quest. New tractor shopping is fun... :)

Welcome to the red side :). That's a big jump from a bx to a 5035.

Thanks buck12. Yes it is a big jump but I need the upgrade. The BX was my first tractor and did a fine job of getting me familiar with running equipment and getting some initial work and mowing done on my mountain property in NC. This past year, however, we had some additional acreage cleared and found that the BX just wasn't adequate to handle the work involved in keeping up with the entire property. I am glad I started with it though because I learned that I won't be without the HST and I also learned which implements are "must-haves" for me.

Now it's a matter of dertimining exactly which setup I like in a Mahindra. The 4035 is very nice bit I believe it's the one the vertical exhaust stack coming from the hood. Since I am constantly in and out of tree cover and rarely in open fields, I could see this being a bad setup for me.

Nope the exhaust comes out the side on the 4035.

Yep...sure does. Had my digits miscombobulated. Was thinking of the 4530.

Hi, there. Welcome to Mahindra-land.
I did something similar--traded my 2005 Kubota B7510HST with the LA302 FEL in March 2008 for a new Mahindra 5525 with the ML250 FEL. My dealer (Dave's Tractor in Red Bluff CA) installed triple hydraulic rear remotes ($700), three chain hooks on the FEL bucket including a steel reinforcing plate (I supplied the hooks, Dave's son did the welding). Bought a 6-ft Hawkline brush hog as part of the deal. Later I had Dave install the skid steer quick attach stuff on the FEL arms and bucket. Shoulda had this done when I bought the tractor.

Good luck.
