I purchased a CK20J Manual with a 120FEL and 48" Box Blade. {I do not know what the difference is between a CK20J and CK20S. Perhaps someone can tell me the difference}.

I am in the Dallas, Texas area and have approx 1 acre of land.. The 20HP Kioti is a good size.

I really got tired of the throw away Walmart/Sears Riding mowers. The Sears Tractors are not what they use to be. I went ahead and spent a little {I mean a lot} more money to have something that will last. I looked at John Deere but "Made in China" threw me off this one even though this dealer is 15 miles away.

All in all I am happy with the tractor but quite unsure about the dealer. It took 5 weeks to get the tractor because the front end loader had to be installed. Go figure. I picked a small family dealer thinking that the service and such would be better but I sure had 2nd thoughts after the numerous phone calls about the tractor being delivered and the person working at the dealer not being there or having the contract ready at specific times we agreed upon. I took off work early on 2 occasions and nothing was ready} I did find the same tractor $750 cheaper from another dealer and they told me if I would pay cash I could receive a $900 rebate but I had made a gentleman's agreement to buy the tractor from the original dealer. {I shook hands on it}. Cost of shaking hands? $1650. Original dealer never told me about the $900 rebate.

I put 8 hours on the tractor and everything is ok! {Although I had to tighten up all the 3 point hitch nuts and bolts.} Things were only handtight and I figured that out when the box blade became unlevel.

It is a strong little unit and I will get a rear finishing mower sometime in the next 2 months. The dealer also had finishing mowers but would not consider selling me anything unless it was on his lot. {I would like a 48" and not a 60"} He didn't want to order one in. Go figure there also. I noticed Northern Tool and Tractor Supply have them so I am not to worried.

I look forward to being a productive forum member.

My understanding the difference between the the 20J and the 20S is 2hp, the J model being 20hp and the S model being 22hp. When do we get to see pictures of your capture??

Welcome to the Pack!

Hopefully you got the updated loader (KL120B), post some pictures when you can.

I'll post pictures when I can. I want to wash it and make it all nice and pretty!

The tag on the front end loader: KL-120. There is no "B".

I'm not to worried because everything is sand. Sand, sand everywhere. {and water 23' down where you drive a sandpoint.} If I see the front end loader cracking I will SQUEAL LIKE A PIG. {Why am I thinking of the movie "Deliverance"?}

I do say I must get use to the sound the diesel makes, especially starting cold! Tick, tick tick, growl, growl, growl. I'd say something was wrong but she runs good. Maybe I am just use to gasoline engines.

Also, what is so special about "Rotella" oil.. I have always seen diesels use nothing but Rotella. Is there something special about it???

Insist that the dealer give you the "repair kit" for your loader and put it on now BEFORE it cracks. If you use it, it WILL crack. If it doesn't happen until 5 years or so down the road, you might be out of luck, and sorry you didn't act now.

I think you'd find the 60" finish mower to be a perfect match for the CK20. I had a 60" Rhino that worked very well. Most people get a 4ft bush hog but a 5ft finish mower. If the land is really flat lawn and you mow regularly, I wouldn't hesitate to put a 6ft finish mower on a CK20.

Yeah, if you don't have the updated loader with the torque tube, just make sure they put on the "repair kit". There is a very good chance that it won't crack if that is put on early. I had some small 1" cracks at 3 of the 4 bolt holes last year and since they put the kit on, the cracks have not spread at all. I work my loader hard and it has lifted stuff that has got to be close to or over the listed capacity.

Here is a picture of just a few of the rocks I dig up and move on a regular basis (gotta love living in the Granite State):
