Hello all. I have been soaking up as much information here as I can. I have lived west of Austin on 18 ac for the last 25 years. I come from a background in construction, building streets, underground utilities, and drainage. I have always had backhoes, loaders, a dozers at my disposal for projects on my property. Last year we closed shop (good terms) and sold everything except a Volvo L70D loader (2.5 CY). I have decided that the Volvo it is too big and heavy for just moving mulch, brush, etc. and I think I have it sold already. I am looking for a smaller tractor, 40 - 60 HP, with FEL, forks, and maybe a few attachments. I have Kubota, JD, and LS dealers within 20 mi. Kioti, MF, and others are 50+. The LS dealer seems very personable and has good reviews on the internet. I haven't visited the other two yet. I recently replaced an 18 year old Exmark 72" ZTR with a Scag Turf Tiger II, so mowing is not one of the reasons I am looking for a tractor. It's quite possible that I may determine that a larger in the compact range tractor will accomplish all of my needs since my property is already fairly well manicured.
