How to repair a broken LX178 hood?

I am, probably beating a dead horse here...
Have a hood broken in several places by the hinges. How to repair this so it is usable?
A good source for new or used replacement?

Can't see the break you speak of, without a pic or two.

New from ebay. Mine had crack down by the hinges from the kids just dropping the hood with a smash instead of lowering it by hand. I removed the hood and set it to the side for repairs later as some engine service was due. The daughter lead one of her pets inside, knocked the hood over and smashed every peice. Not much left out of $1000 canadian for just the parts from the dealer.

Try aluminum back up fiberglassed in. Can also use pop rivets.

I saw something on TV advertised as plastic welding liquid. It is activated by UV light and is reported to be nearly instant once the UV light hits it. It would be interesting to see if it would solve these many cracked hood problems. Product is called "bondic" Several places sell it, including Amazon. May be worth a try.
