It's been dry here in the Valley of the Man-made Star:(

So, yesterday, I tried something different to make it rain . . . .

I took delivery of a new tractor:D

Started raining 2 hours after it arrived @ my house and pretty much hasn't stopped since.

I don't have pictures, yet, but will get those put up as soon as it stops raining.

I'll just have to tell you about it:

Kioti DK40SE HST
KL 401 FEL (adding Ken's bolt on hooks)
2 rear remotes (FitRite Hydraulics on order)
Woods (Gill) R20 Rollover box blade

I want to thank each and everyone of you for sharing your knowledge and experience in this forum. Tho I won't claim to be an expert, I feel like I have earned a certificate for the 2 years spent lurking here-abouts and learning from you guys. I think the certificate would say something like "able to make a reasonably educated decision about what tractor will accomplish the things that I want to accomplish with a tractor". And I owe it all to you guys:thumbsup:

So, now, I've updated my signature and . . . .

I'm running with the pack:cloud9:

Now take it inside the shop, an dry it off and put your first coat of wax on.
do this untill the rain stops. it will take better pictures, when it's nice and clean. that way you'll know what it looked like after you put it to work.
Don't try and have too much fun, the wife won't like it.

I did the same thing yesterday, only in my case it was a used tractor, and it worked like a charm. It's been raining all morning, and while I'd like to be outside tinkering with the tractor, I won't complain because it hasn't rained here in more than a month.

Congratulations on your new tractor.
Have many happy and safe hours in the seat. :tractor: :cool2:
Considering all the rain we have been having maybe I should sell my tractor.

Good taste in tractors!
Mine is spec'd the same with the two remotes, I went for loaded R1's which help when you drop the box blade down and make the tractor work abit!

Loaded R1s on mine, as well.

My neighbor borrowed the box blade. Can't wait to get it home and start road building:)

We are pretty dry up here too. I tried the whole buying a new tractor bit last week but it didn't work here. I have had some great dry sunny days to try out my new toy but we really need the rain. So yesterday I tried my old reliable rain trick. I planted several rows of various things in my garden. This usually will bring at least three inches of rain in a 24hour period washing out everything in the ground.

My supervisor and I both washed our cars yesterday, which totally explains why it poured all morning! :(

I tried washing my trucks the other day, thinking it would make it rain, but all I got for my effort was a few sprinkles.
