Hi -reason I got a compact was to pull logs from my woods. Since I cut selectively I need a smaller tractor to get around. But I would like to improve my traction , so if you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
thanks

I do it by using the iMatch to carry a set of logging tongs, and the weight of the log will give traction. Care to feather the lift to match the weight on the front end (I do this with either the snow plow or the FEL attached) is important.

get a set of agressive mud/snow/ice chains. You want the kind that has connections between the cross links, so they don't get between the tractor treads. They make a big difference. Also, fill the rear tires if not already done. Front weights and rear wheel weights.

You will leave deeper tracks, but won't spin holes into the ground.

Thanks ... I get a lot of weight from pulling 8 - 10 foot logs lifted by my 3-point. Digs the tires in pretty good. I just thought doubling my tires might be a nice touch.
thanks again ...
