Kubota L3800
I have a Kubota L3800 HST, and I am in the process of adding an extra directional control valve to run a power angle plow. I need to know which lines (green, white, or I forget the third color) are which. I think the hydraulic line with the green tape from the block under the right running board is the high pressure line, but not sure, and I'm certainly not sure how to plumb the second valve into the FEL valve. If anyone has a schematic for the FEL valve, or for the tractor for that matter, or any other info on this. I would be grateful. I have read other posts till my eyes bleed, and the other authors seem to know what lines are for what, but I can't figure it out.
thanks
Mike

From Memory now.. I haven't owned a L3400 for a while.. but the Green one is the PB, the Orange one is the flow from the pump and the Gray is the return to sump/tank. That is my story and I am sticking to it... until proven wrong.:)

so then I would plumb the new valve into the port that the green line use to connect to, and then connect the green line into the tank port of the new valve? does that sound correct?

I think it goes like this: go from the green hose comming from the loader valve to the in port on your new valve. Then from the out port on your new valve to the place on the distribution block where the green hose came from . Then split the gray hose with a T fitting. This will be where you will have to take the return to tank line from your new valve if it has one.

The valves I ordered have a power beyond port, so I will do as you suggested, run a line from the power beyond of the FEL valve (where the green line goes) to the input of my new valve, then from the power beyond port to where the green line went on the distribution block, then split the gray line, and tap into that from the return of the new valve. thanks so much for your help

I believe you should be good to go. I wish someone else that had actually done this would have piped up, as I am pulling from memory here of reading threads, but this is correct to the best of my knowledge.. When you get it done, come back and tell me please.

My version is a little different.

The fluid goes from the pump to , the hyd blk. then to FEL, from FEL PB to hyd blk, a hose from hyd blk to IN port of new valve, from new valve PB port to the 3pt IN port and then to tank.

All returns go to tank.
