How to get FEL from WI to TX ??

I found a Ford 7412 loader for my 7710 II 4x4. Problem is -- Im in Texas and its in Wisconsin. Any suggestions on way to get it here without spending more than the loader cost? Ive looked high and low around here and cannot find this particular loader. Owner says its in really good condition. Can you recommend trucking companies or any other means to accomplish this feat? Looked on Mapquest and its about 1020 miles one way. What should this cost? thanks

Best bet is call a trucking company to see what they'd charge. An independent trucker would be cheaper (by far) but difficult to find one...kind of luck of the draw.
Personally, I'd want to see that loader (unless it's brand new from a factory or dealer) before I put the money on it.
If it is brand new, see what the factory or dealer comes up with. They may have better shipping contacts.
Figure $1.00-$1.50 per mile...and that's cheap. But an over the road trucker needing a load to take south may be cheaper yet.

check prices on renting one way or round trip...it might surprise you

That's two good days on the road with plenty of time to pull over for some shut eye...

U ship and other services like it. You place the item up for bid. Describe it's size. Then, independent truckers, as they have room, bid your haul. Simple. Folks have gotten all kinds of stuff from motorcycles to cars moved that way. It works!!! A lot cheaper. If a guy is going from A to B anyhow, and has the space on his rig, he picks up a few bucks and you pocket the savings.

It really kind of a "dating service" concept.
