How to find TDC

Hey guys, hoping somebody is online at the moment to help out. I have a Jinma 254 with a KM385 engine, i'm trying to do valve clearances, have radiator etc all taken off, but i cant seem to find any markings on the crankshaft pulley to work out TDC? Thanks

Managed to figure it out, there is a single line on the outside of the pulley, not on the face of it.

You can make your own mark.
For valve adjust you don't need to be TDC perfect, a few degree off not matter.

First figure witch valves are intake and exhaust.
Turn the engine clock wise from the front. Look at the exhaust valve close (going up) then when the intake BEGIN to open (going down) you are at TDC BUT IN BALLANCE TIME. Scribe one mark on the pulley and one on the cover matching together. This one will be needed for the other cylinders.
Rotate the engine ONE TURN (360ｰ) to aling the previous mark.
Now you are ready to adjust this cylinder valves.
At the end you will have three mark on the damper pulley equally apart as you are doing the same process for the two remaining cylinders.

Basic mechanic exam question when I was at school. (In the 7s )
Then assemble an engine without any markings on front gears and time the injection pump also. Figure the note if the engine don't run.

When rocker is not moving ...adj that valve...do that on all valves....very easy !. Cam has knocks on it and all around its round( where that valve is in the close possition)
