How much weight can BX24 tow?

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I can't find it...

Anyone know what the max capacity is for pulling with a tow ball on the 3 point hitch? I am trying to figure out whether it is worth it for me to purchase as it would be helpful to be able to move trailers, boat, etc. around without truck...

We used to pull a decent sized boat around with a little JD 316, and the BX24 is substantially more tractor.

I suspect that the BX should have no problem pulling anything that will fit on a double axle trailer.

My bx24 can move my 22' travel trailer camper no problem that is rated at 3,500# dry. i use low gear to move around with no problem. you just need to have a drawbar lock installed or something to stop the drawbar from spinning.

a heavy tow can get away from you on the off-camber downhill; the weight of your tow can start pushing the tractor, and if you turn a little bit you can jackknife and overturn.

I pull a heavy duty landsacpe trailer (5X8) 4 miles from a horse farm loaded with maure (includes at least one fairly steep slope). Does fine but I notice the temp guage starts to rise on that hill. i have a BX1800

Accoring to the owenrs manual I have: And I quote, "The Max. loading weight for the trailer (without trailer's weight): 1765 lbs."

It also states the max. allowable load which can be put on the lower link end: 1210 lbs.

Max Hitch Load 550 lbs.

What gets me is the 1765 lbs. It says without the trailer, how heavy can the trailer weigh?
