I currently own a MF1010 (16hp) tractor, with FEL and rotating Gannon. I also have a Murray 20hp gardon tractor/mower to mow my 3 acres with. The Murray engine, is running ok now, but I am not sure if it will keep this up. You can see in the general garden section of the woes it's had.

Previously, I was thinking if I replace the mower it would be with a Husqvargna 26hp model, costing about $3100, plus tax.

I got to thinking about something a little better. My property is wet and almost marshy, in quite a few places, so 4WD would be really nice, really nice.

That all said, I was wondering about the Kubota 1860 model, with a MMM, in addition to FEL and another blade on the rear. It seems I saw a pic that LOOKED like the 1860 did not have a 3pt hitch on the rear? Is that true? It has a belly PTO, but what about a rear PTO? Also, how much would just the tractor itself weigh? I cannot find that info on their site.

How much should I expect to pay for the 1860, and the attachments? Used, would be ideal, but I never see them for sale here, so it would most likely be a new one. Oh yes, I would sell the mower (for what I could, and the MF1010, to help pay for this.

Thanks

Well you caught my interest with your rotating cannon, then I re-read your first sentence. Gattling gun on a lawn tractor would be pretty cool, but expensive to feed and the neighbours would complain. Anyway, onto your question...

I think a new Kubota BX1860 will run you under $10,000 (the MSRP is $10,500 here in Canada). According to specs, they have both rear and mid-mount pto. Tractor alone, weighs 1255 lbs. From what I've been told by 2 dealers here, the BX series machines are all made in USA and the B series and up are made in Japan, assembled stateside (or provinceside :D here in Canada).

If you would like to check specs, take a look at the Kubota Canada website ( Kubota Canada Ltd. ) and select the model(s) your interested in. You can compare them side by side as well.

The US and Canadian sites are interesting in that the US site shows the MSRP prices for everything, implements, options, etc., and the Canadian site doesn't, but it's spec sheets are superior. I guess that's why we pay a wee bit more in the end.:D

Mounted madness
Easy (by looking at your screen name) to see why the gannon/cannon mistake:D, that would be cool. I could use one in 22LR for all these pesky ground squirrels.

On the serious side, in looking (several times) at the US site Products: BX1860 Kubota Canada Ltd. they do not list any prices, period. Odd. but I do see them on the Canadian site.

Unless I can get a SUPER deal, it might be out of my reach, without financing, and I don't think I want or can do that. Fixed income and all that. What US site do you see prices on?

I went to the Barlows site. Very interesting. I made them an offer I couldn't refuse:thumbsup:, but I bet they do:(. Anyway it might open the dialog for a used setup. My problem is, if I replace my MF1010, I will have to have another FEL and that adds $$$.

I will keep plugging on.
