Kubota B6200 HST
My mid 80s B6200 hst has 3200 hrs on it. Still runs ok, a few quirks, dents, and stuff, but solid.

Allied loader, muratori tiller and finishing mower keeps the jungle down.

Put a clutch in it at about 1400 hrs, springs in clutch hub blew up from tilling rocks.

Anyone have a high hours B6200 that can give me an idea if I should be getting ready to do work or get another one.

Welcome, Jiggs. Kubota engines have a reputation for reliability and longevity... are widely used in many non-tractor applications (marine, jobsite lighting, refrigeration, generators, etc.) for that reason. It's not uncommon for such engines to run well over 10,000 hours. The HST's and gearboxes are also quite reliable. Biggest thing is keeping everything going into or through the engine and drivetrain as clean as possible... oil, hyd fluid, air, fuel, filters, etc.

Does your Muratori tiller have a slip clutch, as mine does? If it's adjusted properly, it should prevent those rocks from causing harm to the tractor itself. More damage to the drivetrain would seem to me to be one risk to the ongoing health of your B6200.

A friend has a sawmill with a Kubota engine. Granted it is a 42hp engine but it has about 10,000 hours. I think you can expect some more life from your tractor.

My parents have a B8200 hst that has at least 4700 hours on it (might be 5700 but there records for the first 1000 hours were spotty), and it still runs fine. Like you said it has dents and quirks but overall a good reliable machine. I would say you're fine with hours, keep maintaining it and enjoy another 3200 hours.

Had a B 6200 from 1983 until 2005 at our marina moving boats up to 23 ft on trailers and doing snowblowing duty in the winter time. We put 11,000 hrs on it with two clutches. Traded on a B 7510 when it started "making oil", had the three point leaking down (it had been used a lot as we picked up and lowered every boat we moved as well as the 3 point blower) and finally the brakes started to really pull (not good when your backing a twenty foot boat with a tractor that size down our boat ramp!) The 7510 has 2600 hrs and our 2010 L 3400 coming up to a 1,000 and we have worked them hard, serviced them well and loved them all!

Had a L245 for 20 years, had around 5000 hrs on it when traded. Still ran like new. Hard to kill em!
