Good Evening Gents...

Just obtained a new BX. I have noticed that when it sits for a few days the hydralics for the deck seem to leak down. If I leave it in the fully raised postion, three days later it has dropped down about three inches. I know this is not a really and unusal problem, but how much is acceptiable? My old GR (past tense) and my 30 year old Gravely didn't/dont do it. So far it's just a nunance, but I was wondering what the general concensis is. Thanks Gents. : )

my 2007 BX24 is about the same... 3 days for the deck to drop... a few weeks ago I left the loader up about a foot with 200 pounds in it... took it 5 days to drop to the ground.
I think that's normal for the BX.

Pete

My 2011 B3200 drops the 3PTH impliment overnight. My 1987 B4200 will stay up for 2 weeks or more. My 1965 Massey will drop it in an hour. I can lock the B3200 3PTH though which is required do to the placement of the 3pth lever to my elbow.

The BX has a quarter inching 3PH which is what lifts the MMM, so you are going to get leak down, it is just the way the system is built. I always lower MMM and everything else when I park a tractor.

I normally do as well, but I wanted to see if it would stay up, so I left it. Now I know and I will lower it from now on. I always set the bucket on the ground.

Yeah I have done the same thing out of curiosity and I should amend my original statement, I "almost" always lower my implements as there has been a time or two when I have gotten side tracked and went out the next morning to find I didn't.

When I park my tractor for the night, I drop everything, and after shutdown, cycle all my hydraulic controls to relieve any pressure left in the lines. Which means I never have a situation where a deck or other attachment leaks down.
