How much disc

   / How much disc #2
I have a Kubota L4400 which is very similar to the JD 990. I am pulling a 7 foot (I think it is 6'9" technically) foot disk with 20, 20" disks and it works just fine. My disk is a Leinbach. I think it is a notch above the KK discs at TSC and costs about the same or less.

Is your tractor 4wd?

I have a JD 3320 (33HP, 4wd) and I'm pulling a 6 1/2ft (It actually measures about 7ft) disk with no problem.

I have the TSC "Farm Force" (not King Kutter) heavy duty 6.5' disk and am quite happy with it. I have 50hp and MFWD to pull it, but normally use 2wd and less than half throttle. I think you'd be fine with a 6.5', as long as there isn't anything funny with your soils that make them drag more than most.

FWIW, I haven't seen the Leinbach and I originally was skeptical of anything TSC, but our disk has been trouble free while implements from some fancier names, purchased from real tractor dealers, have been troublesome.

Yes, tractor is 4wd with loader. I have found a tuffline (used) built the same way as the unit posted above. They are asking $400 and it needs a bracket that one of the outer bearings bolt to. Is this priced about right? Disc shows very little wear, just paint faded frome sitting outdoors, disc pans still have the black on them and not rusted at all. The ground I will be working in is Mississippi river bottomland gumbo (Louisiana side of the river). Sorta heavy clay that sticks to everything when wet and cracks open when dry.

I have a kioti ck 20. 21 hp. I am pulling a lienbach 16X18" disc to the axiles in soft soil and a john deere 12X22" Offset the same as well. The Lienbach is about 5-5.5' i think and the offset is 54". Just for a point of reference:)

Just got my new to me Yanmar home. I'm going to have to buy a new disc and was wondering how much I can pull. It is a US35 just like a Deere 990. Was considering this one. Any comments???
