Looking at purchasing a 5055e or 5065e. Future implements include:

  • loader (possible float)
  • rear blade
  • box blade
  • small hay rake
  • square bailer
  • possible front snow plow
  • possible backhoe

How many minimum remotes/quick-connects/SCVs are required, and where would they be mounted? Thanks, guys.

As many rear remotes as you can get on this series. A rear blade can use up to 4 remotes, topntilt quick hitch uses up two remotes and an additional remote for the implement would be three total. You can get by with three remotes in most cases without being compromised much, less than that and you have to make choices and make more manual adjustments.

The front hydraulics ideally would have three functions for boom, curl and attachment. The attachments such as a grapple, 4 in 1 bucket, bale clamp or hydraulic auger usually need this third attachment circuit.

My 110tlb has three front and three rear circuits plus power beyond for the backhoe. This works well in most cases it would be good if this was offered on more small compact/utility tractors as some do offer it but some don't.

I think you're probably asking how many rear SCV valves do you want?

Note: Having a loader (with 2 functions: lift/lower and bucket tilt/dump) doesn't occupy/utilize the rear SCV ports.
This may sound confusing, but the loader hydraulics are piped from the "power beyond" ports of the hydraulic system to the loaders own valve control stick. However, if you add a third bucket function (say a hydraulic cylinder for a grapple or an angle function for a plow, the third function may require using a rear SCV depending on how you have it hosed).

I believe on the 5055 and 5065 you can get up to 2 rear SCV's.

I would suggest you get 2 rear SCV's, or more if possible, when you order rather than adding an additional SCV later. I kick myself for only getting one rear SCV. Adding the second later cost $800 for the kit alone, not counting labor to install.

You will need at least 2 front and 2 rear SCVs for what you listed. For the front, add the third for things like jenkinsph suggested, plus it would work for grapple, limbsaw, and other stuff. My recommendation is to get every hydraulic option available. I did on the 5100M and glad i did. It gets expensive if you add later. I have never heard someone say, "I wish I had less SCV's".
