How do you remove window clings?

Had a tenant put some window clings on 3 windows and I can't get them off. Have used a razor scraper and have only managed to get a couple of small chips off. I am actually scared I will break the window as you have to whack hard to even get a couple of chips off. They are very hard and really stuck to the glass. Using the tractor to scrap them off is not an option.

This would be my next attempt.
Try soaking with acetone or lacquer thinner.
I'd get a rag or sponge and after soaking see if razor blade would scrape it off.
If acetone or lacquer thinner did not work check out some high powered paint remover gel.

Just saw heat gun suggestion. My experience with heat and glass is that you do not get a warning before the glass shatters.

Try heat in conjunction with your razor scraper. I would warm things up with a blowdryer then try the razor scraper again.

If you do apply heat, start with a large area around your "target" to keep from too much spot heat. Warm the larger area first and then concentrate more n the "target", but don't use any more heat then you need to get the job done.

I would try water then alcohol. Moisten the are and keep wet for 5-10 minutes then try scraping again. You should see some improvement if water will work. Then try say 70% alcohol same procedure.

Mineral oil or baby oil. There is another product that works pretty good just for that purpose: "OOPS" in a can. I have something from Wally's named just "Adhesive Remover".

Walmart sells this stuff called GOO BE GONE with works great even took tar off my truck. My wife puts the clings on our window for the seasons and it takes it off with no problems :thumbsup:

We use a round eraser in a drill on automotive decals and stripes it works great on 95% of them even rarely burns the paint but where you are on glass no problem, get them at any body shop supply.
