How Do You Plow?

That's funny. How about 4 trucks plowing one lane of a state highway? Yes, they are all going in the same direction. I see this every storm in my town and it drives me nuts.

In Minnesota it is illegal for the plow to throw snow over the bridge on to rivers, creeks and streams. So they just set it to the side and then come a few days later and pick it up and put into dump trucks. So this is so no salt gets in the river beds. Not a bad idea I guess.

So why do they pile it all up next to the bridge so in the spring it melts into the storm sewer then runs into the river they were trying to protect. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I always get a kick out of the two-truck staggered formation where the first truck is throwing down salt and the one behind it in the next lane is plowing all the salt off to the side of the road.

LOL...thats funny. Ive been the recipient of snow being plowed off an overpass. I had stopped for some reason (cant recall exactly) right before going under an overpass. I was outside my truck doing whatever it was that caused me to stop when I hear a noise I couldnt recognize. Only too late did I figure out what it was...just about the time I see a curtain of wet snow progressing rapidly toward me from up above. I wasnt fast enough to make it back into the truck and get it buttoned up. What a MESS! Those trucks can move a pretty healthy bit of snow.
