Can anyone tell me how to remove the blades for sharpening?
I can't find a way to lock the mower so the blades won't turn while trying to remove them.

Welcome to TBN. It,s a great site.
I remove the mower, turn it upside down and use a 4x4 piece of wood, which is jammed between the blade and the frame of the mower.
Use a nice long breaker breaker, and they should come off, or if you have an impact gun, that works as well. While the mower is upside down, I also give it a good scrape to remove all the grass that has stuck to the mower. Then I spray the underside with fluid film before putting the blades back on.
Good luck.

You need to invest in a air compressor along with some air tools like a impact rench. My pappy was just reading this thread and he was like"OMG! That guy doesn't have an impact rench. Tell him he needs one"

Lift and block front of tractor. Take an angle grinder and crawl underneath to sharpen blades.

All of the methods above! But an impact wrench is the easiest way.

When reassembling put some never-seize on those threads and that will make it easier the next time you remove the blades.

This is the same gadget as in the previous post. Looks like he has a better price. I find this gadget to be indispensible. there are other gadgets that do the same thing, but I think this model is made better than the others.

Just don't forget to remove it from the mower deck after you have changed the blade.

Have both air and battery 1/2" impacts. No need to hold the blades.

This is the one suggestion that won't work. Even if you can get under there to do it, you won't be able to balance the blades. After a few sharpenings you will have a balance problem.
