Lowered pallet fork on top of one of our portable tubular stock panels yesterday. Mashed top rail down about a foot and a half. Of course all the other rails in that panel bent with it. How can I straighten this panel out without making it worse? I don't think my normal cro-magnon method of just beating on it will do.

Well if it was mine I would just leave it our friesian can bend em to heck just by leaning on them. But if yougotta, try turning it upside down and bending it back with the fork.

Please pardon my ignorance but what is a friesian? Thanks for suggestion on flipping panel over & bending down with pallet fork. Will try next weekend.

suggest you use a board between the fork tine and the tube...... this way, the force will progressively be distributed along the tube... thus more likely to bend it smoothly back rather than crease it.

Hot dog! I really learned something new today. Would have guessed that to be an Andalusian or a Percheron. Bet it gets hot there in Tombstone in summer. Cousins used to live in Bisbee and when we were all kids they said nobody would go outside during the day in summertime. Thanks for info. Will tie wire a board or something like it (PVC pipe split lengthwise?) to stock panel (or to pallet fork?) before I try to bend it back with pallet fork.

I was helping a friend work on a cow with an eye infection and it got rowdy and jumped up on a panel and bent the whole panel outward. We had a lot of fun getting her down! Kind of had to stand back and let her do her own thing. Afterwards we took the panel down threw a piece of plate steel on top and drove over it with a truck. But it was bent outwards, not down.

Seems to me that you flip it over and press down on it with a loader or fork lift. It won't be perfect but maybe better than bent.

If you saw the movie Alexander the Great he rode one. So did Zoro in some verions. They were favored by Knights as war horses. Also were used extensively in France as carrage horses. Ours camce fromthe Netherlands via 747. The only horse I have ever seen that has a passport.
