Ford/NH 1715
Hi all,

I hope this forum gets the most views for my question so here goes. I've had my NH 1715 with a rhino 2408 loader for about 4 yrs now and have never had the FEL off. So now I have to replace the clutch on the tractor and have to get the FEL off first. The owners manual for the 2408 has just written instructions (no good figures)and they don't seem to make sense to me. They don't seem to account for a tractor loader mount. The FEL is attached to a 84Q loader mount specific for my tractor. The installation of the loader instructions for the mount indicates the necessity of an overhead hoist and seems very complicated. The install and removal instructions for the loader itself don't mention a mount and seem like it can be done just using the tractor hydraulics. Can anyone give me a clearer idea of how to remove the Rhino 2408. Thanks for any input at all. :confused2:

you have curved arm loader or straight arm loader?>

if you have straight arms like the above

park the tractor on a level surface with about 15-20' behind the tractor (you will have to backup), place the bucket on the ground, engage the float. (no pressure on bucket)

keep the tractor running.

there are 2 hinged "door" plates on the bottom of the rear loader posts that connect to the round mounts at the middle of the tractor. loosen the bolts and swing them out of the way (you do not need to take the nuts all the way off the bolts) the door plates should swing free.

use the loader controls as if you were trying to lift the bucket off the ground. this will cause the rear of the loader to move up away from the round mounting posts. as you do the front "bumper frame" of the loader will tip down.

as you perform this action you can back the tractor up slowly, youll see how the front loader frame wants to "slide" off the front support pins. the front loader frame "bumper" then becomes the "stand leg" for the rear of the loader.

once the front bumper frame is positioned at a near vertical position (bucket all the way raised) you can shut off the tractor.

rotate the handle of the hydraulics in a circle activating all functions of the loader hydrualics, this helps relive any built up pressure in the system.

disconnect the QA's .

installation is reverse of removal

if you have curved arms the method is similar except instead of the doors at the bottom of the rear frame, there is a big pin you pull on the rear frame. you also need to deploy a front support leg from the front of the loader
