How do I change a hydraulic hose on my 1531???

I have a leak on a hydraulic hose that has been caused by the mower deck rubbing on on it, so I need to replace it, but have never done anything like this before, so could anyone please let me know what I should do.

Not familiar with the 1531 and a little more information would be helpful, is it a quick disconnect type hose to your loader that's leaking? If so bleed the pressure off the line by moving the loader joystick then remove the hose. Hoses can be made locally if there's a shop that reworks hydraulic components or you can buy a replacement hose at a MF dealer.

Mike476 thanks for the reply, no the hose is one that runs from the body of the tractor to the hydraulic block where the joy stick is located, I don't think it is a quick release one as it looks like you would need a wrench to undo it.
I heard some where that you have to depressurize the hydraulic system before removing the hose, how would I do this?

Your hyd pump provides pressure for steering and implements, without a diagram or the abikity to look at your tractor I'd be hesitant to advise that by moving the joystick for your loader you will have depleted the pressure. Take a look at where the hose is routed, what does it appear to provide pressure to?
