How do I add a 3 spool valve to my YM336D without cutting the line?

I'd prefer to not cut into the line, as this model has a couple of breakout boxes for hydraulics. If parts are scarce, though, cutting i will do.

Here is what I have to work with..

I'm not sure which points I can hook into. I know someone here did what I'm looking to do, but I can't find the thread anymore. There was some weird plug which was replaced with a through plug or something similar. I'm out of my element on this one.. not like I was ever in my element on this thing :p

The spool valve is an open center w/PB:

Also, does the spool valve need to have a loopback hose or can I just connect/disconnect at my leisure? I don't want to fry my pump hacking this up.

Thanks as always!

My draft control is not exactly the same but will include a pic of it where I have my external hydraulics ran from. A good return on a YM series is a plate behind the shifter just under the stop knob kenmac figured that out on his PB he set up for his loader and grapple.

I have to have mine looped btw when not hooked up to my splitter which has open center valving on it fwtw.

Beyond that I believe the added block on the side of your draft control may hold the in's and out's you need since its a US spec tractor we all just need to take time and go thru a 336 manual and see whats what.

In your pictures, the hyd valve block is marked with IN, OUT, and what looks like PBY.

The flow in an open center hyd system should flow like this.

Pump to FEL to HYD block, remotes, to 3pt, to tank.

The hyd block connection is a connection point. If you can find a banjo adapter for the PBY outlet of the hyd block, that hose will now go to the remote valve IN port. The remote PBY port should go to the 3pt in port.

Someone with a Yanmar did cut a metal line and added adapters to feed a remote valve. Seemed easy enough.

Do not use the water pipe fittings. Use hyd fittings.

What so you mean about loop back hose. That setup comes off the PB out and goes to the back for a BH or log splitter and when not in use the hoses are connected together.

If you add the 3 lever valve, you can use one of the spools to feed the log splitter or BH.

The other 2 spools might be used for T-N-T setup.

Are you sure it is an open center valve or setup for open center?

Your 3 spool valve needs to have PB to supply the 3pt.
