Hi folks.
I've got a fairly new Kubota B2301 and I've just purchased the factory rear remote control valve kit:
I'm new to tractor ownership, but I'm doing my own basic servicing (oil + filter changes etc) as I've done this plenty with cars / motorbikes over the years.
I've never done anything with hydraulics except connect/disconnect my tractor attachments though. Can anyone suggest how difficult it would be for a guy like me to install some rear remotes? Fairly easy, or is this kind of job best left to the dealer?
I've found an earlier thread with a few tips on installing the same kit.
Otherwise there is nothing else I can find on the internet/YouTube about installing this kind of remote kit.
Here are the instructions that came with it:
So basically I need to pull off the fender and assemble all the bits as per the exploded diagrams, making sure I grease the O-rings and use my torque wrench where it says to.
Am I missing anything major? Am I supposed to drain all the hydraulic fluid from the tractor (or maybe depressurise it somehow at least?) before messing with hydraulics or something?
Something else I need to be aware of...?
