Is there a plate somewhere on a Kubota tractor that will tell you the year it was made?

No plate! You can go to tractor data .com and find out when the model you have in question was built. Tractors unlike cars have values for the models more so then by the years.

I don't know if you are on good terms with a dealer or not but a Kubota service department can trace the serial number to date it was put in service. Not a gray market tractor.
