The smallest Caroni will work and parts are easy to obtain.
Make sure the PTO shaft length is sized properly
with the mower fully lifted and order a PTO shaft
with a slip clutch from either kubota, TSC or agri supply/CARONI
or a local farm supply store to have zero worries and
keep the belts happy.
Also buy a spare set of the gates green colored severe
duty belts sized for the mower to have on hand.
FYI- The Kubota B6000 has a PTO that turns in the opposite direction from most tractors. Which means if you purchase a flail mower it will be turning backwards. Do a search on b6000 PTO to read up on this situation.
The simple solution would be to simply reverse the blades but it will require you to install a debris barrier in front of the mower inlet.
I would check with agri supply to ask about a reverse gearbox or buckeye tractor in ohio Buckeye Tractor Co
I am sure they can order a reverse gear box flail for you or find a flail mower for it- FYI look at the farm equipment manufacturers web site home page
spell it out completely otherwise the you get the government site for fema
buckey tractor
they build a lot of custom farm equipment and front hitches for small tractors
and thry used custom build rear to front PTO under tractor drive systems for tractors too.
thanks will check it out. The tractor has a front PTO now, a shaft runs under to run a kubota B-648-A blower, could I use a standard rotation flail in front?? would it be too much weight for the frt axle? it is a 4wd model.
If its a thousand rpm PTO up front you will need to
buy a front mount flail that will work with that RPM
or see about a gear box from the mower builder or buckeye tractor.
The snow blower frame is what will carry the mower as it is attached to
the tractor frame
There are more than a handfull of front mounted flail mowers for
smaller tractors and the builders of these mowers have a presence here
in the states too.
The agrisupply folks can help you I am sure as they are importers and
know what is available too.
The Befco H40 Hurricane 48 inch is designed
for front or rear mount flail mower installation and use.
I believe it is A Buhler mower wearing Befco camoflage :^)
Befco is everywhere so its easy to find and they will take phone calls for inquiries.
