Do the Grands have a regen dump & non regen dump? I'm plotting out future modifications to my impending upgrade from my L3200 to a cabbed L4060 (I think). I couldn't tell from the test drives I've done. The L4760 I just test drove had a funky 3rd function setup. There was an ugly on/off toggle button half way up the joystick. You turned that on, then the 2 buttons on the top of the joystick would operate the 3rd function. I'm sure I'll be happy with 1 button to enable a diverter, if regen won't clobber my plans.

I'm planning on copying Roadhunter's setup http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...inear-actuator-power-ssqa-14.html#post4369941 instead of putting in another linear actuator. Just put a T on the 3rd function (or diverter) lines. Leave them pointing to the SSQA cylinder until you hook up an implement, then point the flow to the QD's after you are hitched up when you connect the hoses. I'm quite capable of building this myself, so am debating whether to do the whole thing, or get the dealer to install a 3rd function or diverter then modify from there. Info on how regen is setup would help my plotting & scheming immensely.

My L3200 is setup
Curl - Neutral - Regen dump

That kind of sucks for putting a diverter in. I wouldn't be able to operate a pair of single acting cylinders to angle a snow plow as it would work 1 way, but not the other (regen would dump pressure to both cylinders equally)

I'm hoping the grands are setup:
Curl - Neutral - Dump - Regen dump
or
Curl - Neutral - Regen dump - Dump

Diverter doesn't have to go on the Curl circuit ... can go on Raise/Lower as well.

On my FEL valve "dump regen" is pretty simple - it just puts pressure to both ports. With equal pressure to both ends, a single-rod cylinder extends. The smaller piston area on the rod end governs motion.

To use the FEL valve for other equipment, connect the dump ports to the cylinder(s) that need to extend, and the roll-back ports for retract.

L4200 grand is Curl - Neutral - Regen dump - Dump... KennyV

Be careful what you wish for... I have a MF2660 and loader valve that came with the "Curl - Neutral - Dump - Regen dump after detent" configuration. It was a NIMCO valve, bad from the factory. Replaced once by the dealer to no avail (AGCO seems to have had a supply chain full of bad ones) and eventually fixed by me using a kit from NIMCO. Symptom was the bucket would not dump with force (such that you could lift the front of the tractor that way for example.) In my opinion these loader valves offering wonderous things like quick dumps (regen dumps) and dastardly things like detents are simply trouble going somewhere to happen and users to haunt. I strongly prefer a very simple "do exactly what I told it to do" control valve that is usually provided on the less fancy and less expensive machines. Far better in my view.

While I understand your adherence to KISS, regen serves an important purpose. Especially as cylinder packings wear, the bucket weight can pull cylinders out faster than the pump can keep up. Air will get pulled into the cylinders, resulting in floppy bucket problems.

Personally I wasn't asking because I wanted regen. I was asking to make sure there was a position that didn't have regen. My current L3200 & many others only have regen dump & no standard dump. Regen won't run a pair of single acting cylinders, but standard will.

I believe all the "L" model Kubota have "regen" only on the dump side, and no standard "dump" position. I learned this directly from Brian at FitRite Hydraulics, and pretty much confirmed it by researching here on TBN and of sources myself.

Std L and MX models have 3 position curl circuits. Grand Ls and M models should have a 4 position curl circuit.

This has been my experience anyway.

Sorry for the mis communication Kenny, MY BAD. :ashamed:
