Hour meter

Does anybody know how to reset the digital hour meter on a ztr mower? I left the key in the on position for a whole week and it still started. Should have about 35 hrs. now has 159 hrs. Thanks for the replies.

Reverse the wires to run it backward for another week. Seriously I doubt if that would work. About the only way to reset it would be to forcibly disassemble it and change the numbers.

Been there -- Done that.

You have two choices.

1.) Purchase and install a new hour meter and leave the switch on again until the desired hours are reached.

2.) Disconnect the existing hour meter. Record the hours of usage and then reconnect the hour meter when the desired hours are recorded on the meter. (This is the one I used)

Unfortunately there is no way to reset the digital hour meter.

In the future be sure that you remove the key when you are finished with the unit.

The hour meters are designed to record every second that power is applied(switch is turned on).

It's best to log how many hours you had previously...
