I recently had a WR Long 3rd function switch added to NH TC40DA for grapple use. Works the nuts. Love it. Question is how to protect the hoses that run from the electrohydraulic valve at the rear of the tractor, near the hydraulic reservoir, to the FEL and then to grapple. The hoses loop downward as they exit the valve before coursing forward to the FEL. Can't really tie they up much better using cable ties without kinking hoses. I guess 2 right angle fittings could help. Does anyone use metal "hose" for such a run??

I like to zip tie my hoses at a comfortable amount of bend, and then if they are in places where they will get abraided.. then u run them thru something.. either some kind of loom.. or well.. in hard times.. thru old fire hose...

He ended up changing the standard hoses for metal ones. He was able to route these more preceisely than the rubber ones which were on there originally, so they were well protected. Of course, he ended up going whole-hog and had a substantial belly pan added to protect the entire underside.
If you find someone who has "hardened" a tractor for logging use, they'll have some good ideas. There aren't many applications tougher on the underside and exposed hydraulics on a tractor.
