Hooking up hydraulics, B7610 rear, help.

Over in the Attachments forum there's a thread about a CHEAP stump puller.

Basically jake98 took a cylinder, some HD chain, and enough hydraulic line to be able to park his tractor at a relatively safe distance, put it all together and has a small stump puller. When I asked what was needed to hook it up he replied:

Just hook them up, they fill/purge themselves. I don't know much about hydraulics either, just the principle. You hear some say to use teflon tape on the fittings, I've heard not to and I don't. No leaks.
So you're going to pull some stumps? It's one of the cheapest attachments I've used, and who doesn't want an excuse to buy some heavy chain?
You need to talk to the Kubota guys, I think their system is different, open vs. closed, or something like that, pressure on all the time..

On my B7610 I've the ports back there for my BH.
Any idea if I'll need more than the lines, fittings, cylinder and chains to get this to work? Extra valves? Meters?

I've seen writeups of about the same thing elsewhere, Hillbilly stump puller VERY effective - Heavy Equipment Forums, it looks like an OSHA nightmare, but not as bad as dynamite and legal.

You wold need to put at least a one spool valve in the open BH circuit to control flow to the cylinder when you were ready to make the pull. Your BH valve stays on the BH when it's removed. Probable a lot easier to use one of your FEL ports temporarily to operate the cylinder.
