Hood won’t open on my branson 3520. Hood release lever has no effect.

Hood won’t open on my Brandon 3520. Hood release lever has no effect. Any thoughts?

John more than likely the hood release latch has come undone from the linkage and spring, what year model is your 3520? 2014-2016, or 2017-2019 if the older version you should be able to have enough room to take a long flat head screw driver and slide it just under the front lip of where the hood meets the frame and using that you should be able to push the latch up opening the hood, if you have the newer version you will have to remove the retainer band from in between the hood and firewall should only be one nut holding it in place once that has been removed you can gain access to the hood support stutrs backsides and you can remove the retaining bolt that mounts those once you have those undone you should be able to tilt the hood forward enough to get the hood latch to release.

The hood release on my TYM T233, involves: Pulling the handle and them smacking just above the latch on the hood. And then lifting the hood without releasing the handle…. Tried adjusting, to no effect. Guess it good in a way. it won’t accidentally pop open.

Mine had that problem once. I had to push down on the hood hard before pulling the handle. I put some shims under the latch catch before closing it again.
